By downloading or using MediaAegis, you agree to these terms.

Description of Service

MediaAegis is a macOS application for managing Plex Media Server configuration, including backup, recovery, rebuilding, and maintenance of library metadata. MediaAegis stores configuration data in local sidecar files and databases on your device.

Subscription

Some features of MediaAegis require an active subscription, managed through Apple's App Store. Subscription terms, pricing, and renewal are governed by Apple's terms and conditions. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple ID settings.

Your Plex Media Server

MediaAegis interacts with your Plex Media Server using credentials you provide. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your Plex authentication tokens and for any changes MediaAegis makes to your server's metadata at your direction.

MediaAegis will never modify your actual media files (video, audio, images). It only reads and writes Plex metadata through the Plex API.

Disclaimer of Warranties

MediaAegis is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. While we strive to ensure reliable operation, we cannot guarantee that the application will be error-free or that it will not cause unintended changes to your Plex server configuration. We recommend maintaining regular backups of your data.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer of MediaAegis shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from the use of or inability to use the application.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. Continued use of MediaAegis after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
